Join Our Spring Diet Clean-Up!

Would you like to feel and look better this summer? I know I do when I eat tons of vegetables and fruits and not so much things like sugar and bread. Spring is a great time to improve your diet and lose a few excess pounds. You don’t need to fast to detox. In fact, for many people fasting is not a good idea but we can all make the best choices for our individual dietary needs.

I have settled on eliminating sugar and wheat from my diet for the next couple of weeks. Many people decide when doing a cleanse or detox to also eliminate caffeine, dairy and any other substance they suspect may be causing them problems. Many people don’t realize that they have hidden sensitivities or intolerances to foods that affect their health and their waistline.

Why not join me, starting on Monday, for a 2-week, get ready for summer, plant-based, detox and cleanse? I will be posting suggestions and ideas to make it easy to stick to your resolve. I have found that making sure you take in lots of nutrient-rich foods means less cravings, so I will have some suggestions for ways to feel satisfied! Also, we can focus on filling our needs with activities and non-food related pleasures instead of mindlessly reaching for food to make ourselves feel content!

We should all choose the program that makes the most sense, according to our own issues, whether that means no sugar/wheat or some other cleansing protocol. I do think we could all be healthier and slimmer without sugar (and that includes more nutritional choices like honey and maple syrup as they also have an impact on blood sugar and insulin levels) and wheat (often eaten 3x a day) which is really just glue in its refined form!

Let me know what you decide to do!

  2. My day was only okay. I had such a bad dry cough I went and bought raw honey as it apparently helps. So I was good but had about 3 tablespoons of honey.
