If you can’t make it to Ste. Anne’s Spa, create your own spa at home! |
Instead of thinking of what we can’t have, when it is something that is not going to enhance our health and well-being, I think it is good to focus on what we can have.
While you are avoiding wheat and sugar (or gluten or dairy or whatever other food you think may be causing you some problems), try to think of ways to treat yourself. That might be a delicious but healthy food but it could also be getting a massage, going for a walk, doing some stretching, having a nap, taking a bath, reading a book or some other indulgence that would make you happy.
Make a list of at least 10 activities or healthy foods you can use when you get an irresistible craving for anything you are avoiding. Keep it handy so you can keep a clear head and decide to do something other than scarf down that baguette!
