Summer is Coming – Are You Ready? |
I really need to be cutting back – way, way back – on the carbs. I seem to have a little sensitivity to sugar and grains that means high insulin levels, hormones that are out of whack and, ugh, belly fat. Pinch an inch? Uh, yeah that and more.
I vowed this morning that no grain or sugar would pass my lips and I have already, at 11 am, broken that promise to myself. I could not resist a chocolate cake I had made from adzuki beans that called to me from the fridge (wheat-free at least, and sweetened with applesauce/stevia, but still, there were a few sugary chocolate chips on top)….I really need some support and accountability!
When I previously did a detox/cleanse with a group, I always stuck to the plan and never cheated, since I knew I would be letting down other people in addition to myself. So why don’t we help each other? How about a little support group here on this blog?
Whatever your goals are (and they can be different from mine) let’s report back in the comment section about how we are doing. Maybe you don’t need to lose any weight but would like to improve your health by cutting out sugar? Or maybe you think you might have a wheat intolerance? Or maybe you would like to track your workouts and make sure you get in your walk/stretching/pilates/weights or whatever?
I will post advice, encouragement and suggestions that might help us all stay on track. Maybe encourage everyone to drink a green smoothie or two. Perhaps post some recipes.
Personally, I am going to eliminate wheat and sugar from my diet. I am also going to try to minimize grains in general and natural sugars as much as possible too. Let me know what you want to do feel and look great!
Hey, if you fall off the wagon, confess your sins (if you want to) and hop right back on, just don’t give up! I know I will be tempted, but hopefully, with your support, we can all improve how we look and feel.
I think two weeks is a reasonable goal! I look forward to hearing from you – please leave a comment below if you are in and let’s all get started by Monday! See you then!
