Don’t Like Cats? Love Cats?

Here are Theo and Oliver, my rescued babies. They are about 8 or 9 months old and are already huge. We have had them since August and already I can’t imagine not having them in my life.

I never understand people who say they don’t like animals or cats in particular. I just want to say to them, open your heart, visit a shelter and meet a few of the hundreds of kitties that are waiting there for a home. Animals are individual, just like we are. Some are definitely more friendly than others, but all deserve to be treated with kindness and respect.

The love, comfort and amusement you receive when you belong to a cat is priceless. On these chilly winter days, there is nothing better than a cup of tea, a roaring fire, a good book and a purring cat in your lap.
